Kravica Day Trip from Dubrovnik: What to Expect

By Armel Sukovic · 5 min read ·

Coastal drive from Dubrovnik to Kravica

The Dubrovnik → Kravica → Mostar day trip is one of Dubrovnik's most popular organized excursions. It's also one of the longer ones, and the realistic timing surprises first-timers.

The route. Pickup at Pile Gate around 07:00. The drive goes north along the coast through the Neum corridor — that's a short Bosnian strip on the Adriatic that splits Croatia in two. You cross into Bosnia at Neum (passport required), continue inland to Kravica (~2.5 hours from Dubrovnik).

At Kravica. Typically 2 hours. Entrance fee €10 cash on site (not included). Enough time to swim, walk to the main pool, and eat something at the site cafés.

Next: Počitelj. 30 minutes at this walled Ottoman village. Climb the citadel tower for the river view. Buy pomegranate juice in season.

Then: Mostar. 2.5-hour walking tour of the old town, Stari Most bridge, and Kujundžiluk bazaar.

Back to Dubrovnik. Border crossing on the return, arrival around 18:15.

Cruise passenger timing. If you're on a cruise, confirm your back-on-board time. Most ships want you back by 17:00-18:00 — our standard tour gets you back around 18:15, which is tight. We can pick up earlier (06:00) and drop earlier (17:30) if you book private.

Passport. Required. You're entering Bosnia. The border crossing takes 15-30 minutes depending on traffic.
